It has an inbox. You keep the final say.
Each mate gets its own email address. It reads what your allowed senders write, drafts replies in its own words, and anything going to someone new waits for your yes.
Email that can't run away from you
Its own address
builder-q7m3@agents.usemates.com. Replies thread properly in Gmail and Outlook, and the whole conversation stays in one place.
Strangers wait at the door
Mail from someone new is held until you let it through. Senders are checked with SPF, DKIM and DMARC before a mate reads a word.
Nothing goes out without you
Approve, edit or stop each email, inline in chat or from the Inbox. Trust a recipient once and it can write to them freely.
Questions people ask
Can it read my own inbox?
No. It only has its own address. Forward things to it, or let people write to it directly; it never signs in to your mailbox.
What stops it emailing the wrong person?
Anything to an address it hasn't heard from waits for your approval, or every email does if you choose that. It can also write to at most 5 people per email and 30 emails a day. Those limits are in code, not in the prompt.
Can someone trick it with an email?
Incoming mail is shown to it as outside data, with hidden characters stripped. Forged mail, bounces and autoresponders never reach it. And since writing to someone new needs your yes, a confused mate still can't mail a stranger on its own.
Does it work with Gmail and Outlook threads?
Yes. Every email carries a reply address tied to its thread, so answers land back in the same conversation, in the Inbox and in the mate's chat.
Can I use my own domain?
On Team, yes. On Cloud, addresses live at agents.usemates.com.
