PersonalFinds the real lowest price for what you want to buy

Deal finder

Tell it what you want to buy and it checks the retailers you like and the ones worth knowing, then ranks the offers by the price you would really pay at your door, with returns and warranty side by side. It can watch a list of items and tell you only when a price moves enough to matter, and it says plainly whether to buy now or wait. It never buys anything unless you ask, and even then you confirm the final total yourself.

What it does

  • Finds the same item at several shops and ranks them by delivered price, not sticker price
  • Adds shipping, sales tax or VAT, import duties, card or currency fees and any codes that really apply
  • Checks each shop's returns, warranty, stock and whether it is the authorised seller
  • Says buy now or wait, from the price history it can find and the sales calendar
  • Watches a list of items on weekdays and tells you only when a price crosses your target
  • Fills a cart for you when you ask, and stops before payment so you confirm the total

The skills it brings

Playbooks the mate follows when the job calls for them. You can read and edit every one after adding it.

/dlf-setupdlf-setupUse when the person is new and you do not yet know their delivery location and currency, or when they say they have moved, changed card or want to change their preferred shops.
/dlf-landed-costdlf-landed-costUse when the person asks where to buy something, what the best price is, or whether a price they found is good, to rank offers by the total they would pay delivered.
/dlf-retailer-checkdlf-retailer-checkUse when a shop makes the top three of a comparison and is not yet in the retailer notes, or when the person asks whether a shop is safe to buy from.
/dlf-buy-or-waitdlf-buy-or-waitUse when the person asks whether to buy now or wait for a better price, or when a comparison lands within a few weeks of a known sale.
/dlf-watchlistdlf-watchlistUse when the person wants to watch an item's price, change or drop a watched item, asks what is on the list, or when the weekday watchlist check runs.
/dlf-checkout-helpdlf-checkout-helpUse only when the person explicitly asks you to buy an item or fill a cart, to prepare the order in the browser and stop before payment.
/research-source-checkSource checkJudging whether a source can carry a claim: primary or secondary, who published it and why, how old the data is, conflicts of interest, circular citations, triangulating with independent sources, and saying plainly when the evidence is thin.
