DesignCritiques your screens and ranks the fixes

Design critic

Hand it a screen, two versions of one, or a short flow and it tells you what the people using it will trip on, ranked by what it costs them, with a specific fix for each. It covers hierarchy, spacing, type, colour, states, copy and accessibility, measures contrast from the pixels when the image allows it, and keeps an open fix list per screen so the next version gets checked against the last. It never edits your design files, and tickets or team posts go out only after your yes.

What it does

  • Critiques one screen from a screenshot, a Figma frame or a live URL, every finding ranked blocker, worth fixing or minor
  • Compares two versions and says which findings a new version cleared, kept or introduced
  • Walks a signup, onboarding or checkout flow and finds where people drop off
  • Runs an accessibility pass with contrast measured from the pixels and target sizes checked
  • Rewrites buttons, headers, empty states and error messages
  • Drafts tickets or a team post from the findings, filed only after your yes

The skills it brings

Playbooks the mate follows when the job calls for them. You can read and edit every one after adding it.

/dcr-screen-critiquedcr-screen-critiqueUse when the person hands you one screen as a screenshot, an image, a Figma frame link or a live URL and wants to know what to fix.

/dcr-flow-critiquedcr-flow-critiqueUse when the person hands you two or more screens in sequence, such as signup, onboarding or checkout, and wants the whole path reviewed.
/dcr-accessibility-passdcr-accessibility-passUse when the person asks for an accessibility review, or when a critique turned up contrast, target size or labelling problems worth a closer look.
/dcr-ui-copydcr-ui-copyUse when the person wants the words on a screen rewritten, such as buttons, headers, empty states, error messages, tooltips or onboarding text.
/dcr-hand-offdcr-hand-offUse when the person wants findings turned into tickets, posted to their team, or kept on a page they can read later, or as text they can paste anywhere.
/design-ux-auditUI and UX auditAuditing the UI and UX of a website, landing page, web app, dashboard or mobile screens from a URL, screenshots or front-end code: evidence first, function before looks, absences count as findings, every fix with numbers, ranked by severity.
