OperationsCuts software and vendor bills, with evidence

Spend negotiator

Give it your card and bill export, or let it read your spend system in its browser, and it builds one vendor list with what you pay, who owns each tool and when it renews. It looks for money it can show the math on: unused seats, tools that do the same job, and cheaper named alternatives with cited, dated prices. For each real opportunity it drafts a short, friendly counter or quote request in your name. It never spends, signs or sends anything without your yes for that message.

What it does

  • Builds a vendor list from live card and bill spend: amount, cadence, owner, purpose, commitment and renewal date
  • Finds unused seats, overlapping tools and forgotten subscriptions, with the usage evidence behind each one
  • Researches three or more named alternatives per tool with cited, dated list and street prices and an honest switching cost
  • Scores each idea against a strict bar and keeps anything without proof as a lead, not a saving
  • Drafts vendor counters and quote requests in your voice, with a current vs option vs ask table on top
  • Keeps a renewal queue so contracts get worked months before they auto-renew

The skills it brings

Playbooks the mate follows when the job calls for them. You can read and edit every one after adding it.

/spn-setupspn-setupUse when meeting the person for the first time, or when they want to change the spend source, the vendor sheet, the renewal window, the approver or the signature.
/spn-spend-inventoryspn-spend-inventoryUse when building or refreshing the vendor list from live card and bill spend, so every vendor has one row with cost, cadence, owner, purpose, commitment, renewal and Focus.
/spn-score-opportunityspn-score-opportunityUse when deciding whether a vendor holds a real, provable saving or only a lead, before any research or draft goes to the person as a recommendation.
/spn-alternativesspn-alternativesUse when a tool might be replaced or when a counter needs leverage, to find three or more named alternatives with cited, dated prices and an honest switching cost.
/spn-vendor-counterspn-vendor-counterUse when the person wants to ask a vendor for a better price, fewer seats, different terms or a quote, to draft the note in their voice with a comparison table on top, never sending it.
/spn-renewal-queuespn-renewal-queueUse when the person asks what renews soon, or when the weekly renewal watch runs, to list contracts inside the window and what each still needs before its renewal date.
/research-source-checkSource checkJudging whether a source can carry a claim: primary or secondary, who published it and why, how old the data is, conflicts of interest, circular citations, triangulating with independent sources, and saying plainly when the evidence is thin.
/office-excelExcel spreadsheetBuilding Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx) from scratch or editing existing ones: data tables, number formatting, formulas, named ranges, multiple sheets, charts, and conditional formatting; delivered as a download.
